The Bachelor: Does Arie Luyendyk, Jr. Fall In Love This Season?

The 22nd season of The Bachelor premieres on Monday, January 8 on ABC and I think we can all say we are pretty excited to see what craziness will ensue with 25 ladies vying for the attention and love of Race Car Driver, Arie Luyendyk, Jr. As avid Bachelor followers know, Arie previously starred on Emily Maynard’s season (Season 8) of The Bachelorette. He was my personal favorite that season and I was horribly distraught when Emily chose Jef Holm, especially when she and Jef broke up only a few months after filming.

Well Arie is back and ready for love and he shared his experience with US Weekly and several other media outlets via a conference call yesterday afternoon. Arie told reporters that it was a great experience and that he definitely fell in love on the show. In fact…he said he fell in love with TWO PEOPLE..Oy vey.

When pressed on the hardest part of the journey (as we Bachelor fans love to call it). Arie said, “I actually fell in love with two people … The toughest part about being the Bachelor would probably be the end, making tough decisions toward the end. I mean, that’s the hardest decision of your life, really. It’s a forever decision, so it’s not taken lightly. I think that was probably the hardest thing.”

Arie also said that he was incredibly nervous about the first night and that he feared none of the women there would be “the one” for him. He went on to tell reporters his strategy going into filming of The Bachelor. Arie said, “I think my game plan was not to lead with chemistry. I think in the past I’ve done that before and I think as a man it’s easy to do that. Also for me, I just really tried to envision how that person would fit into my regular life and if I could fit into their life.”

I’m definitely Team Arie..unless he does something incredibly stupid this season which is very possible. Can’t wait for January 8th!
